There is renewed emphasis on Company Boards refreshing themselves regularly to recruit the right mix of skills, experience and diversity (and quite rightly, too), but the big change is the requirement for Boards to increase engagement with their workforce.

Basically to comply with the new code, Boards should appoint a director from the workforce, or set up a formal workforce advisory panel, or designate a Non-Executive Director as their Workforce Engagement Director.

Does this mean that 'Non-Executive Director & Workforce Engagement Director’ will one day be as common a title  in the Boardroom as ‘Non-Executive Director & Audit Committee Chair'?
