Changing the Face of British Food: An Exciting Female-Led Investment Opportunity
Award-winning products. Proven retail traction. Ambitious growth plans. Now seeking Investing NEDs to help supercharge growth.

Could this be one of the UK's next big food success stories?
Our client is bringing authentic Malaysian flavours to homes across the UK. This female-led, ethnic minority-owned brand has developed an award-winning range of cooking sauces, chilli sauces and snacks.
Founded by lifelong friends, the brand has built a loyal customer base and secured listings with premium retailers, specialist distributors, independent delis and farm shops.
With jar revenue more than doubling in a year and strong repeat purchasing from trade customers, the business is preparing for its next phase of growth.
The traction is there. Now it's time to scale.
-
£49k annual jar revenue in the year to July 2026, more than double the previous year's £24k.
-
76% of trade customers have reordered.
-
Established retail presence, including Selfridges, Raya Grocery and 23 directly supplied delis and farm shops, alongside two specialist distributors and the brand's website.
-
Credibility and recognition, including national food awards, press coverage and previous participation in an Ocado incubator programme.
-
Established operations, working with two UK production facilities and a logistics and supply chain partner.
-
Organic growth, achieved without paid marketing spend to date.
The next chapter
The founders plan to expand distribution, increase sales through existing stockists and convert new commercial opportunities into sustainable revenue.
Advanced discussions are underway with a regional supermarket, a fine-food distributor and a contract caterer regarding a potential rollout across 75 UK offices.
Foodservice, meal-kit partnerships and online sales present further opportunities for growth.
The foundations are laid, momentum is building, and now is the time to get involved.
The founders

The business began in 2019 when two lifelong friends started cooking the Malaysian food they missed from home.
What started as small supper clubs developed into catering events across Europe and eventually an award-winning range of tried-and-tested sauces.
The founders recognised that introducing an unfamiliar cuisine involved more than simply putting a jar on a shelf.
Through markets, tastings and events, they introduced customers to Malaysian cuisine, tested recipes and developed products based on real customer feedback.
These personal connections remain central to the brand, with social media, word of mouth and direct customer relationships driving growth.
The investment opportunity
The founders are seeking Investing NEDs to help accelerate their next phase of growth.
Investment will support manufacturing stock, new product development, sales and operational capacity.
The business also plans to strengthen sales through existing stockists using tastings, recipe content and targeted promotions. As volumes increase, moving production to Malaysia could offer opportunities to improve margins.
The founders would particularly welcome individuals with experience in:
-
Brand building, marketing and customer acquisition
-
Retail sales, distribution and foodservice
-
Finance, operations and business scaling
-
Strategic partnerships and commercial networks
Both Investing NED and non-board investment opportunities are available.
The founders are looking for investors who combine commercial judgement with a shared belief in bringing underrepresented cuisines to more UK kitchens.
Meet the founders at an upcoming tasting event

Following a successful showcase at the First Flight Innovation Forum in September, the founders are now speaking with prospective investors.
An upcoming in-person tasting event will offer an opportunity to hear directly from the founders, sample the products and explore how you could contribute to the business's next stage of growth.
Event details: Monday 16 November - we will release further details very soon but please hold the date.
