About the role

Our client has developed a novel, patented technology that adds fragrance to unscented cut roses without staining or visibly altering the petals. The technology is designed to address a significant gap in the cut rose market, where modern roses are often bred for appearance and durability rather than fragrance.

The business is now moving into commercialisation, with the technology being actively marketed to rose growers and breeders, alongside engagement with distributors and potential machinery partners.

Growth will be driven by:

  • Adoption of the technology by rose growers and breeders

  • Licensing the patented technology to growers, importers and retailers internationally

  • Development of automated treatment machinery to enable scalable application

  • Creating a new market for branded scented roses positioned between conventional unscented and premium scented varieties
