A Non-Executive Director (Non Exec, NED) is required for a software-as-a-service (SaaS) software, IT Company based in M3/M4 corridor and a sales office in the US.

With a strong sales pipeline and existing customers already established the company is looking to achieve revenues of over £1m in 2019.

Our client is looking for a Non-Executive Director who is interested in investing and able to contribute to the continued growth of the company with specific expertise: 

  • IT/software companies who have clients in corporates organisations and/or major hosting and managed service providers;
  • experience of an international software business and developing international distribution and partner channels;
  • implementation of customer service and technical support operations in primarily a partner channel model;
  • proven record of successfully growing & exiting from a software/IT business.

 

The Non-Executive Director will be encouraged to become a shareholder in the Company to align the incoming Non Exec’s interest with that of the existing Directors who are all shareholders.

 

  1. Business Concept:
  • Our client develops and sells software which enable organizations to manage IT and software assets efficiently whether on-premise or in the Cloud
  • The company currently has four Directors including the MD
  • The company aims to significantly increase the scope and volume of its business activities outside the UK, especially in USA and through global channels with its existing and new technologies.
  • The worldwide market for the targeted hosted software is worth over £4bn and growing exponentially. The company aims to address this market through the 20% of key vendors that control 80% of the market and has developed relationships and are in trials with these companies.
  • The company has developed a core platform for monitoring software licensing and usage efficiency. The transition to hosted services and cloud computing is providing numerous opportunities for the technology in major end user corporate organizations as well as managed service providers.
  • The company has major corporate customers along with growing routes to market who are enthusiastic about the opportunities for this unique technology.
  • TBSC are in the process of scaling up their products and services with distribution partners so want to make their sales processes slick and commoditised.
  • The founders are looking to ‘exit’ the company within 3-4 years.

 

  1. Non-Exec Director Role/Requirements/Expertise:
  • IT/software companies who have clients in government/corporate organisations;
  • Experience of an international software business and developing international distribution;
  • Business processes and business implementation;
  • It is expected that the role will require approximately 2 days per month.
  • The Non Exec will be encouraged to become a shareholder in the Company to align the incoming Non Exec’s interest with that of the existing Directors who are all shareholders. The company is registered for the EIS scheme which provides 30% tax relief and up to 100% capital gains relief subject to status.

Board Meetings are held every three months and remuneration will be based on business introductions and share options.
