Role 1324
Digital Platform for Parkinson’s & Advanced Neurological Therapy
SERG Technologies is building a clinically validated digital platform designed to improve outcomes and access for people living with Parkinson’s. We begin where the need is most urgent: Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) optimisation.
Parkinson’s is the fastest-growing neurological disorder globally. For people with Parkinson’s, symptoms fluctuate constantly, and treatments gradually lose their effectiveness, requiring more invasive alternatives. Today, management relies on annual clinic visits and subjective, trial-and-error adjustments. Clinicians must make critical decisions based on a snapshot assessment and a short appointment, an almost impossible task. The result is care that is reactive, inconsistent, and incredibly difficult to optimise.

Our platform introduces a data‑driven software layer that enables objective measurement, remote insight, and more standardised, proactive management. We have developed the system in close collaboration with leading clinicians, and the technology has already been validated with first‑in‑human data in DBS optimisation.

The Opportunity
While advanced therapies like Deep Brain Stimulation are life-changing, they remain underused, with a major factor being the clinical burden associated with providing ongoing optimisation for people with the implant. Today, the process is manual, subjective, and time-intensive, limiting the number of patients a clinician can realistically support.
SERG targets this bottleneck directly by standardising the process. We provide objective measurement and data‑driven guidance into existing DBS tuning software, reducing both the clinical burden and the required expertise level. This directly aligns with industry priorities and enables us to unlock a level of scale that existing device platforms cannot achieve alone.
Once established within DBS, the same software and data infrastructure can be applied across medication management, physiotherapy, and long‑term monitoring in Parkinson’s care, and later into related movement disorders such as essential tremor and dystonia. Across these conditions, the addressable patient population is estimated at around 45–50 million globally, representing a multi‑billion‑pound opportunity for embedded neurological software. Our longer-term aim is to make data-driven approaches integral to how neurological therapies are delivered, enabling more proactive care and more consistently optimised treatment for patients.
Latest Developments
- Clinically validated in real-world settings with first-in-human data demonstrating a ~4x reduction in DBS optimisation time,
- Active collaboration with leading clinicians and major hospital partners, validating relevance within routine care,
- Formal Letter of Interest from a global DBS manufacturer, recognising workflow optimisation as a strategic priority and aligning with SERG’s integration-led approach,
- Commercial leadership strengthened with former senior DBS OEM experience, including a CCO previously in a senior commercial role at Boston Scientific,
- Clear licensing and integration-led commercial pathway aligned with DBS manufacturers rather than direct sales,
- Capital-efficient operating model designed for scale without hardware-heavy deployment,
- Five-year financial plan projecting ~£20m revenue and ~£13.5m profit,
- EIS advanced assurance submitted.

What we are looking for
Serg Technologies is seeking 3 or 4 Investing NED’s who will provide their expertise, knowledge and networks alongside early stage investment.
You will be a good fit if you bring experience in
- Medtech or digital health at scale, particularly in regulated or hospital-based environments,
- Medical device manufacturers or platform businesses, with insight into integration, adoption, and workflow-driven differentiation,
- Licensing-led or partnership-led business models,
- Corporate development, strategic partnerships, or M&A, especially within global healthcare organisations.
This opportunity suits individuals who:
- Value a clear clinical focus first, with platform value built over time,
- Understand how workflow ownership creates defensibility in healthcare,
- Are comfortable with regulated environments and long adoption cycles,
- Want to be involved early, where strategic input materially shapes outcomes.
You should be prepared to contribute 2–3 days/month, flexing more in the early execution phase, and be motivated by long-term strategic involvement and equity participation.
