Two investing Non-Executive Directors are required for our client who are developing innovative personal career coaching services, based in London.

The Non-Executive Directors will be encouraged to become shareholders in the company to align the incoming non-Executive’s interest with that of the existing Directors who are all shareholders.

Business Concept 

  • Our client is a personal career coach that lives on Slack, powered by AI and a sassy attitude.
  • The company is a product-first team on a mission to make work better for everyone.
  • They help employees self-reflect on their careers, learn new skills, and have better relationships with their managers and peers in a way that's actually effective and entertaining so that employees don't feel like they're working. Think Duolingo but for professional development.
  • The company builds educational products based on behavioural science, organizational psychology, and professional coaching and deliver them in 10-minute activities via chat. Using AI and NLP they analyse people's responses and provide personalized insights, action steps, and progress over time in a beautiful dashboard.
  • The company’s first product is a Slack-based bot currently in private beta.

Two Investing Non-Executive Director roles – a “Door Opener” and a Sales Specialist:  

A Door Opener

  • Key responsibility:well networked and can make introductions to start-ups and small companies (approx 50 - 1,000 employees) for initial pilots
  • Strong conviction in the usefulness of career, professional, and executive coaching
  • Previous experience in HR, recruiting, People Operations, L&D, or Executive Coaching, ideally in executive roles
  • Constructively challenging but supportive style
  • Ideally, previous start-up experience as an operator, founder, or advisor
  • Be a brand ambassador that can amplify our reach on social media platforms, particularly on LinkedIn
  • Excited to participate in webinars as a spokesperson or panellist
  • Contribute to our blog with thought-leadership pieces once a month

Sales Specialist

  • To Help the company build a successful B2B sales strategy
  • Strong conviction in the usefulness of career, professional, and executive coaching
  • Proven track record building a successful B2B sales strategy for digital products, ideally that sell into L&D/HR
  • Demonstrable start-up experience as an operator or founder
  • Be a brand ambassador that can amplify our reach on social media platforms, particularly on LinkedIn
  • Constructively challenging but supportive style

The incoming Non-Executive Directors will be encouraged to become shareholders in the Company to align their interests with those of the existing Directors and shareholders - minimum investment: £25k
