Loddington Hall is nestled in the beautiful Northamptonshire village of Loddington, and dates from the 1200’s. It has had many uses over its life – from farm to hospital to school and most recently a conversion to 12 apartments.

The Hall is a Grade II listed building, and the upkeep is managed by Loddington Hall Management Company Limited. Traditionally this has been run by the owners, but for the first time is now seeking an external Non-Exec Chair for the Board.

In this role, the Non-Exec Chair would be expected to Chair two meetings per year; develop a good relationship with the Board; an understanding of the workings of the Hall and its requirements and seek to develop, together with the Board and Owners, a long-term plan to ensure sufficient funding is available to maintain this historic and cherished building.

Non-Executive Chair Requirements

Applicants for the above role are likely to live in North Northamptonshire or within easy commuting distance, and have a background, knowledge or passion for historic buildings and their upkeep.

The applicants could come from a construction / building background; property development, maintenance or conversion; Legal or Architectural, and will likely have served in a Non-Executive role already (although first timers will not be ruled out). This role might suit a retired person with the aforementioned experience, who is keen to get involved in, and help their local community.

Time Commitment

There are currently two meetings per year, one in the spring and one in the autumn to which all owners are invited.

In addition, it is expected that the applicant will meet regularly with the Board to discuss issues at the hall – perhaps 6 times per year.

Some preparation time (calls and meetings) will be required for the above.

Remuneration

This role carries a nominal annual payment of £1000. In addition, travel expenses will be paid.
