Non Exec Board Advisors are required for an innovative “Workshifting” premises Company – which is based on getting work done in the right place, by the right people at the right time; based in Berkshire.

Our client, having raised initial funding is now seeking to build a high-calibre Advisory Board with four individuals who can contribute to the success of the company.

The four Board Advisors should have one or more of these backgrounds:

  • E-Commerce
  • Property
  • Digital product development or marketing
  • Technology - IT and E-commerce;

The Board Advisors should be willing to invest in the company to align the interests with the existing Directors. The focus in the early stages will be on preserving cash and growing the business. Remuneration will be paid as and when the company can afford to do so.

The time commitment is approximately two days per month.

The Company

  • Our client’s business is built on the increasing trend in “Workshifting” premises – which is based on getting work done in the right place, by the right people at the right time. Technology has untethered us from our desks, which means many of us can get work done without ever having to be in the office. As a result, the traditional workplace is going through a profound transformation.
  • Everything from Wi-Fi quality to bandwidth to finding a local workplace tailored to a specific task is all in need of change. People now work on average across 3.5 workplaces in a single week, so it’s time that workplace access became temporary, affordable and most of all suited to the task we’re working on at that time.
  • Our client’s mission is to improve the experience of mobile workers by enabling access to quality mobile workplaces in a way that allows property owners and managers to sweat their un-unused real estate assets.
  • The company aims to do this by developing a global aggregator that not only allows guests to find, book and pay for the right type of workspace to suit their requirements, but also rate their experience. In the same way that Tripadvisor promotes higher-ranked destinations, our client ensures that good workplace experiences are more visible.
  • To fulfil the company’s business plan objectives for 2015/2016 and reach their Series A funding milestones, they are now seeking to build a high-calibre Advisory Board of four individuals who can provide major strategic inputs for the company.

The (Non-Exec) Board Advisor Roles:

  • A background with an internationally recognized organization with strong recognition in domain expertise;
  • Should have either direct experience of working in a start-up or with start-ups, most particularly at early traction/commercialisation stage through to Series A/B funding;
  • Must thoroughly understand the context of the rapidly changing workplace environment as well as the “future of work”;
  • There is a stock options allocation for each Advisory Board role, subject to agreement on role and participation;
  • There will initially be no cash remuneration, since it is expected that the company should be utilizing their funds for growing the business, but out of pocket expenses will be covered.
