Four Strategic Advisory Board Members (Non-Execs) are required for our client which is an AIM listed company developing and commercialising neuropsychological tests. The company is based in the South of England.

We are seeking senior pharmaceutical, neuroscience &/or healthcare industry Executives with extensive experience of neuroscience/CNS R&D and product commercialisation to advise our client on strategic direction and to act as an Ambassador in mid-tier and multi-national pharmaceutical companies.

The company is looking to build a Strategic Advisory Board of four members to provide independent external advice with projects and new initiatives and to assist in developing corporate and institutional relationships nationally and internationally with big international pharma companies. The time requirement is likely to be 3-4 days PA plus tele conferencing; remuneration will be iro £1,200-1,800 per day depending on experience.

 

There is an opportunity for one of the Advisory Members to Chair the Advisory Board and become a Non-Executive Director on the company’s main Board.

Company’s Business Concept:

  • Our client is an AIM listed neuroscience digital health company that specialises in the precise measurement of clinical outcomes in neurological disorders worldwide.
  • They operate through three segments; pharmaceutical clinical trials, academic research and healthcare technology.
  • They offer an assessment system for researchers to measure cognitive function and in occupational health a system that measures mental health in the workplace.
  • It offers a sensitive screening tool for healthcare professionals to identify the earliest signs of clinically relevant memory impairment indicative of Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Customers include pharmaceutical companies, clinical research organisations, academic research institutions and healthcare providers in brain and mental health related disciplines.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to and challenging the company’s strategy.
  • Contributing to the company’s future direction for both R&D and commercial activities, including product commercialisation.
  • Supporting the company’s CEO in the identification and development of corporate opportunities for all markets.
  • From time to time to represent the Company at external conferences and participate in relevant discussion panels.
  • From time to time to act as a spokesperson to the business media on matters indirectly related to the company’s business activities.
  • Provide the Board with feedback on Company performance.

Strategic Advisory Board Member Requirements/Expertise:

The objective of the Advisory Board Members will be to advise our client on strategic direction, product commercialisation and to act as an ambassador in mid-tier and multi-national pharmaceutical companies.

There is a potential for one of the Advisory Board members to join the Company’s main Board of Directors.

Specific requirements are:

  • 10 + years as Director or VP with major international (UK, Europe & USA) pharmaceutical &/or neuroscience companies such as GE Healthcare, Janssen, Roche, Novartis, Eli Lilley, Biogen etc.
  • Been involved directly in product commercialisation internationally (US, UK & Europe)
  • Able to assist in developing corporate and institutional relationships nationally and internationally.
  • Experience to contribute to and challenge the company’s strategy.
  • Must have current, multi-level network of contacts in big company pharma.
  • Must have a sound understanding of drug development practices and procedures – preferably gained first-hand.
  • Must have good understanding of neuroscience and digital health trends and opportunities.
  • The appointment will be for one year with a longer renewal thereafter.
  • It is expected that the role will require 3-4 days PA (more in the early stages as part of an induction) plus tele-conferencing; remuneration will be iro £1,200-1,800 per day depending on experience.
